Chef Nija Lightfoot is a seasoned culinary artist known for blending global techniques with bold, soulful flavors that honor both her heritage and her creative spirit. With more than 25 years of experience, she has trained in some of the country’s most respected kitchens and brings an unwavering passion for excellence, sustainability, and innovation to every plate.

Her culinary journey began in the heart of her grandmother’s kitchen and continued through roles at iconic establishments like The Williamsburg Inn, The Trellis (under James Beard Award winner Marcel Desaulniers), Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club, and The Sundial Restaurant at the Westin Peachtree Plaza. A graduate of both Johnson & Wales University and Le Cordon Bleu Atlanta (Magna Cum Laude), Chef Nija also completed Disney’s elite culinary internship program, where she trained and served as Sous Chef during major resort openings and signature events.

Throughout her career, she has led large-scale culinary teams, executed high-profile banquets, and developed seasonal, locally inspired menus across fine dining, resort, and event-driven venues. From cooking Thanksgiving dinner for Disney executives to overseeing multimillion-dollar operations and training the next generation of talent, Chef Nija’s story is defined by heart, hustle, and an uncompromising standard of culinary artistry.
